Because the Marshal’s seizure of the truck exceeded the terms of the July 15, 2019 judgment, and the writ did not authorize its seizure, the execution was invalid under 5 V.I. Code § 473(1). Consequently, the Superior Court erred by denying the pending motion requesting the release of this truck.
